Passumo features: the loyalty card and everything after it

Passumo runs a wallet loyalty card for a local business, builds a customer list from it, and gives you three ways to reach that list: push notifications, email and SMS. Cards, customers and push are unlimited. Setup is one QR code on the counter, and there is no app for your customers to install.

What kinds of loyalty card can you run?

Four, and as many of each at once as you like. A stamp card for your regulars and a voucher for a Tuesday promotion can run side by side on the same account, and a customer can hold both.

The four card types, what a customer collects on each, and what each suits
Card typeWhat the customer collectsBest for
StampsOne stamp a visit, towards a set totalA shop people come to often, for the same thing
PointsPoints that build up and get spentA wider menu, where visits are worth different amounts
CouponsA single offer, used onceBringing someone in for one specific thing
VouchersA fixed value, redeemed against a billGifting, and making good on a complaint

How does a customer get your card?

They scan the QR code on your counter. There is no app to download, no account to make, and nothing for your staff to type in.

  1. They point their phone camera at the QR code by your till.
  2. Your join page opens. They fill in whatever you chose to ask for, which can be as little as an email address.
  3. They tap Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet.
  4. The card is on their phone and they are a member. About twenty seconds, without leaving the counter.

What do you learn about each customer?

Whatever your join page asked for, plus everything the card records on its own once they start using it.

  • What you asked for at sign-up: name, email, phone, birthday. You set each one to required, optional or off.
  • Every visit, every stamp, and every reward they have taken.
  • Which branch they use, and when they were last in.
  • Which group they fall into: new, active, close to a reward, or drifting away. That last one is the list worth acting on.

What does Passumo not do?

Worth saying plainly, because some of it is deliberate and the rest is simply not built yet.

What Passumo does not do, and why it does not matter
Not includedWhy that is survivable
POS and payment integrationsPassumo runs alongside whatever till you have. Nothing to buy, nothing to break on a Saturday.
Bulk import of an existing listA list imported without permission is a list you cannot message. Your QR moves your regulars across with consent instead.
Scheduling a campaign for laterCampaigns send now. Automations are what send on their own, at each customer's own moment.
Customers referring friendsNot built yet. Business-to-business referrals are, if you want to recommend Passumo to another shop.
Knowing whether a message was readThere is no open or read tracking. What you can see is whether they came back, which is the number that pays.
