Three channels

Push, email and SMS from one loyalty card

Every customer who adds your card can be reached three ways: a push notification on the lock screen, an email, or a text. Push rides the wallet pass, so it costs nothing and is never metered. Email and SMS come with a monthly allowance that grows with each shop you add.

Which channels can you message on?

Three, and every customer on your card can be reached on at least one of them from the moment they join.

The three channels compared: cost, monthly allowance, use and what each needs
ChannelWhat it costsIncluded each monthWhat it is forWhat you need from them
NotificationsNothingUnlimited, never meteredAnything routineNothing. It goes to the card itself
EmailIncluded in the plan5,000 a monthAnything that needs roomAn email address and their consent
SMSIncluded in the plan250 segments a monthThe ones that earn itA phone number and their consent

Each message picks its own channel when you write it. There is no read or open tracking in Passumo, so a message never escalates from one channel to the next on its own, and nothing here works like an email sequence that gives up and texts you.

Does a notification cost anything?

No, and it is never metered. A notification rides the wallet pass the customer already added, so it reaches them on the lock screen without an app, without a phone number, and without a per-message fee however long your list gets. That is why it is the right default for anything routine: a stamp landing, a reward unlocking, a quiet Tuesday offer.

When should you use email instead?

When the message needs room. A welcome with your story, a monthly regulars' offer, a voucher with its terms on it. Email is branded to match your card and can be drafted by AI, and the plan includes 5,000 a month with 2,500 more for every extra shop. You need an address and their consent, both of which your join page collects.

When is a text worth it?

For the moments that earn an interruption: a win-back to someone who has drifted, a birthday, a same-day offer on a slow service. The plan includes 250 segments a month, plus 150 for every extra shop, and there is no per-message charge on top. A segment is 160 characters of plain text, and a single emoji drops that to 70 for the whole message, so length costs more than recipients do.

What does Passumo deliberately not do?

Three things it would be easy to assume from a list of three channels.

  • Messages that escalate from one channel to the next. There is no read or open tracking, so nothing knows whether a message landed. Each flow picks its channels up front.
  • Quiet hours. Nothing is held back by time of day. The weekly cap is what protects a customer, not a curfew.
  • Scheduling a campaign for later. Campaigns send now. The scheduled trigger is how you pick a day and time in advance.
